Ferber, Shirley May (nee Raymond)
Shirley May Ferber passed away on September 19, 2022 at the age of 96 years. Preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Bob, son Rob, twin sister Dorothy, sister Eileen and brother Robert. Survived by nephews and nieces Mark (Theresa) Kowler, Kerry Hanson, Kate (Mark) Kurich, Bruce (Nancy) Krueger and daughter-in-law Linda Wells. Also survived by other relatives and friends.
Shirley and Bob were original members of Hales Corners Lutheran Church and were active in church activities. Shirley enjoyed gardening, golfing, and cooking for family gatherings. She did all these things with grace and the most beautiful smile God has ever bestowed, a smile she retained always.
Of particular note was her considerable prowess as a golfer. She and Bob would spend winter months vacationing in Fort Walton Beach FL where they would play golf every day. She also played in a golf league at Hanson Park well into her eighties.
Special thanks to her neighbors on Woodcrest Circle who loved her like family. Also, heartfelt appreciation to Debbie Garza whose selfless care helped Shirley remain in her beloved home as long as was possible.
Lastly, thanks to the caregivers at Hales Corners Care Center whose excellent efforts during difficult conditions these past few years provided gentle care, warmth, and stability.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 28th at Hales Corners Lutheran Church at 12300 W Janesville Road in Hales Corners 53130 from 11am to 1pm. Funeral service at 1pm.
