Edmund
Rozite

Edmund was born in Madison on May 14, 1997 to loving parents Armand and Baiba Rozite. He passed suddenly and unexpectedly in the early hours of Sunday, September 18, 2022.

He is survived by both parents, his brother Robert Rozite; grandparents Agris and Rasma Rozite and Robert Franklin; stepdad Christopher Stephens; aunts, uncles and cousins Lukass and Mari Franklin (Tia and Laila); Amanda Rozite; Anna and Eriks Arums (Sarma and Martin); Kristine and Alex Drake (Lucija); many friends, neighbors, teachers, co-workers and other family here and in Latvia. Edmund will be missed by his dear cat Momo.

Edmund attended Wilson & Washington Elementary Schools, Longfellow Middle School and Wauwatosa East High School, from which he graduated in 2015. He also attended the Milwaukee Latvian School on Saturdays. After high school, Edmund continued his studies at MATC in Audio Production and earned a Technical Diploma in Welding in 2018.

After MATC, Edmund worked in welding for several years, and most recently in masonry. He spent much of his free time making music. He enjoyed going to the woods, riding his bike, being with friends, feeding people—he was an extraordinary cook.

Edmund was an extremely sweet, generous, loving and accepting person. He could be goofy and liked making people laugh. Edmund was infinitely wise. Now, Edmund leaves us on his next journey with an immense void. He is missed and deeply loved.

Because this is a very short narrative, we invite you, family, friends, neighbors, acquaintances to add your own stories, memories and photos, below.

A memorial gathering will be held on Friday September 30th, 2022 at the MILWAUKEE LATVIAN EV. LUTHERAN HOLY TRINITY CHURCH from 5-6pm with a memorial service at 6pm.

Family requests that those who prefer to give a donation in lieu of flowers do so to the Urban Ecology Center https://urbanecologycenter.org, or to All Hands Boatworks https://allhandsboatworks.org.

Remembering enjoyable jam session with Ed at the Tai Chi Center 19th St Coffee house gig a few years back. Ed was very young at that time and already showed extraordinary feel for the Blues..
Sherrod and I send our deepest condolences and prayers.

I was a grade ahead of you at Wauwatosa East. I don’t think we ever had a conversation however I’ve heard you were an awesome person to be around. Rest easy brother.

Oops! Sorry that was Robert at the coffee house gig. Met Edmund in Tai chi class. It was a pleasure getting to know the whole family. Very sorry for your loss.

I only briefly knew Edmund, we spoke a lot in 2011 on Facebook and Skype and bonded over the fact we are both musicians and our love of the show South Park. He was a very kind, funny and friendly person and I am very sorry for your loss. Rest in peace, Edmund.
