Sara Sue Feuerstahler, age 43, died in Greenfield, WI on August 31, 2025. She was born in Fort Atkinson, WI on July 14, 1982. She received the washing of rebirth of Holy Baptism on July 25, 1982. She confessed her faith through the rite of confirmation at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Brown Deer, WI on May 5, 1996. Following her 2000 graduation from Luther Preparatory School in Watertown, WI, she attended Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN. Her interests shifted to pursue a career in nursing. In 2005, she graduated from Concordia University in Mequon, WI with a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing. She worked as a registered nurse for almost 20 years in the cardiothoracic and transplant unit of Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee, WI. Sara’s passion was for her patients and her two dogs, Nelly and Winston.
Sara is survived by her parents, Pastor Michael and Wendy Feuerstahler, her siblings, Matthew and Leah, and other relatives including many aunts, uncles, cousins, co-workers, and friends.
Sara has been laid to rest in the Good Hope Cemetery not far from the resting place of her paternal grandparents in the sure and certain hope of the resurrection of the body at our Savior’s return.
A memorial service for Sara will be held on Sunday, October 12th, at Heritage Funeral Home, 4800 S. 84th St, with Pastor Wayne Shevey officiating. Visitation will be from noon until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes memorials to the Wisconsin Ev. Lutheran Synod.
I had the pleasure of working alongside Sara for a few years. Sara was a kind soul, who truly cared for others as seen by how she provided care to her patients. Sara, you will be missed.
Sara was such a kind and giving person. I had the pleasure of knowing her for many years. She was there for me, with such kindness when I went through my own battle. Sara, you will truly be missed by me and many others.
Sara was blessed to have found her calling in nursing at a young age. Countless people benefitted from her dedication to caring for them. She liked nothing better than to be able to help patients, neighbors, friends, everyone. We miss her.
I have nothing but wonderful memories of Sarah both professionally and personally. She was a wonderful nurse and a kind and reliable friend to many. Her passing is heartbreaking
I had the pleasure of working with Sara for over 10 years at St Lukes. Her love of nursing showed everyday. She was kind, always willing to help others in need.
