Ronald M. Janiuk
1947 – 2025
Passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at the age of 78. Beloved husband of Annette Janiuk (nee Delise) for 53 years. Cherished father of Gregory ( Sara) Janiuk. Loving grandfather of Vincent Janiuk. Dear brother of Christine (John Churin) Janiuk. Dear brother-in-law of Michael (Mary) Delise. Further survived by other relatives and friends.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Dorothy Janiuk and his brother, Kenneth Janiuk.
Ron served in the U.S. Air Force, enjoyed painting and golfing.
A Memorial Gathering will be planned for a later date
Ron was a great mentor during my early architect years. His knowledge of building construction and detailing taught me a lot and I’m glad to have worked with him. He also tutored me on Sheapshead during lunch. Many great memories from the Road Rallies Ron and Jim Schneller developed for the PRA summer picnics. Thanks Ron!!
Must say the guy was a challenge. I suspect many that knew him chose not to meet the challenge…illogically, I did. I suspect Ron regarded me in the same vain as I him…that of a challenge. Ron and my combined efforts netted a 35 year friendship…closer than close. Like brothers we argued…stubborn vs stubborn and like close friends, we laughed and laughed while the dust settled.
By rough count together we played 4,500 hands of sheepshead, 1,500 hands of black jack and 700 holes of golf. As members of the self established Carnivor’s Club we devoured 75 steak dinners-fueled by well over twice the amount of cocktails. Somewhere along the line we managed to find time for work…working directly/indirectly together on 300 architectural projects.
Couldn’t ask for more from a friendship. Memories never to be forgotten and a void never to be filled.
RIP buddy.. Grab the cards, start shuffling and save a seat for me.
My condolences to the family. I had known Ron all through Grade School and High School, he was always nice to me. I was surprized to hear of his passing, He was a good man and may he rest in peace.
