Jerome Garcia, Jr.

Jerome Garcia Jr., affectionately known as “Junior,” age 88, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2026.

​Born on February 28, 1938, in Austin, Texas, to Jerome and Minnie Garcia, Junior was a man who lived with purpose, resourcefulness, and a strong work ethic. A true jack-of-all-trades, he found his greatest passion and fulfillment in home improvement. He was always eager to lend a hand and loved teaching those around him how to fix things—whether it was tackling a project around the house, working under the hood of a car, or tending to the yard.

​Junior was known for his steady reliability, dependability, quick sense of humor, and his love for keeping company. He appreciated the simple pleasures in life: trying his luck at the casino, wandering the aisles of Menards for whatever project was next on his list, watching western movies or finding a quiet moment to sit in his car, turn on the radio, and enjoy a meal in peace.

​He was the beloved husband of Maria Garcia, with whom he shared 40 wonderful years of marriage. He was a devoted father to Rosemarie, Jane (Ernesto), Jerry, Annette, Gilbert, Andrew (Tracy), Timothy (Micaela), Roxanne (George), Melissa, Reyna, Alfredo (Rachel), Jamie, Juan, Beatriz, Bernaldo, Marisela (Gino), and Jerome. Junior’s legacy lives on through his many cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

​He is survived by his loving siblings, Eva, Mary, Vera (Pete), Alex, Dolores, Jesse (Christina), Lupe (Juan), Frances (Rick), and Connie (David) and was preceded in death by his mother and father, as well as several of his siblings.

​Junior’s warmth, guidance, and generous spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Visitation at Heritage Funeral Home, 16880 W. National Avenue in New Berlin  2:00 PM – 5:00 PM on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, and on Thursday, August 27, 2026, from 10:00 AM until the Funeral Services at 12:00 Noon.  Interment to follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
