Jacqueline Ann Graef

1955  –  2026

Jackie, “Mom Graef”, burst into this world August 22, 1955  in Milwaukee, WI to Lawrence and Yoshiko Mudrock (nee Yashida).  She grew up surrounded by her three brothers Robert, John and Ronald Mudrock enjoying their Japanese heritage and traditions.

Jackie married Jim in 1973, sharing 53 years together.  Jackie and Jim were blessed with 5 boisterous sons, James J. Jr., Chadwick T., Shawn L., David J. and Joseph M.  She loved her boys fiercely and firstmost.

For Jackie, loving those around her was always first, emphatically caring for all. She delighted in hosting holidays and relaxing at the cottage. She cherished time on their boat, 4 -wheeling and visiting her family near and far.  Spending time with her kids and grandkids was her favorite thing in the world. She spent countless hours watching her boys and grandbabies play sports. Jackie was always active; she was a black belt in karate, softball athlete, and champion at Mario Bros with her grandkids.  Every fall she was sure to be out deer hunting and walking the trails on her land.  Jackie always enjoyed berry picking, gardening, canning, and baking.

Jackie loved Jesus unquestionably and shared His love with everyone she met. She never met a person she didn’t want to save for Jesus. Her multiple mission trips from the streets of Milwaukee, to around and out of the country filled her with joy.

Jackie encouraged others “You do your best and God will do the rest”.  Jackie, you have done your best, now rest in the arms of Jesus.

Jackie entered into the arms of Jesus Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at the age of 70.  Beloved wife of James J. Graef for 53 years.  Cherished mother of James J. Jr (Paula) Graef, Chadwick T. (Heidi) Graef, Shawn L. (Jacque) Graef, David J. (Caitlin) Graef, and Joseph M. (Angelica) Graef.  Loving grandmother of Emily, Abbie, Taylor (Michael), Jordan (Elliot), Meghan, Kolten, Maxwell, Savanah, Hadley, Nakkita, Avery, Evelyn and Cody. Dear sister of Ronald (Marla) Mudrock. Dear sister-in-law Kay Mudrock, Susan (Tom) Stukenberg, Theresa (Randy) La Luzerne, Daniel Becker.  Further survived by 7 great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by her parents Lawrence and Yoshiko Mudrock and her brothers Robert Mudrock and John Mudrock, sisters-in-law Barbara Mudrock, Leslie Becker, and brothers-in-law Christopher Graef and Richard Graef.

I will always remember Jackie for her incredible love and exuberance for Jesus, Sharing about his love and grace with everyone she met. Her love for family and her boys was very evident. She will be greatly missed, but I am glad to know she is resting in the arms of her precious Savior.

We are so thankful that we were able to meet and get to know Jackie. She was a wonderful person. We enjoyed being neighbors at the lake and will always remember her fondly. So many great times spent there getting to know her better and meeting all the family. She was so thoughtful, bringing us dinner, and how loved her pickles! She was always such a happy vivacious light. We will miss her.

Mama Jackie, no words can express how thankful I am that I met you three years ago. You changed my life for the better, and if it wasn’t for you, I don’t know… Maybe I would’ve lost hope. You are one of a kind and you always made me laugh! The thing I learned the most from you is how not to get offended and release the spirit of offense from my heart. I love you so much and I’ll never forget you. I can’t wait to see you again. Please give Jesus a big hug for me!

I will cherish you forever Jackie. You taught me how to let go and let God in the most trying times. You helped open my spiritual eyes and wisdom. You listened to me and didn’t judge. I’ll miss coming over or going out to eat. I’ll miss our little get togethers with the girls. Thank you for being you. I never would have known the true depth of God’s ❤️ love had I not met you. I miss you mama Jackie. Enjoy the ultimate reward with your daddy!!

        A Tribute for Mama Jackie

        Dear Mama Jackie,

Where do I start? Where do I begin? You’ve touched my heart and soul from within.

At first glance, I was curious but not too sure. Then I looked in your eyes and saw you were pure. They were so angelic and trusting to me—it was like a whole other world I couldn’t wait to see.

You opened up your arms and embraced me with love. I knew right then and there you were sent from above.

We started with the icky stuff. You said I needed deliverance. I agreed and trusted you, not really knowing what it meant.

That day, a new me was brought to light, including my spiritual gift of things normally out of sight. I watched as pain and anger left for good. In their place was Jesus—strong, He stood.

My spiritual eyes and ears were opened that day. “Give all the glory to Jesus,” you would say.

I joined your group, Evangelism Made Easy. I remember our first one—you had me share my testimony.

We studied scripture and learned about praying. We role-played and practiced, not knowing what we were saying.

You taught me how to pray out loud—how to have strength and courage amongst a crowd. You taught me how to ask the Lord for the wisdom of which words to use, so prayers can come out and my tongue can be loose.

Thank you for all of your spiritual guidance that you gave. The wisdom you imparted taught me to be brave.

I’ll forever cherish your smiles and laughter. Say hi to our daddy—I’ll see you in the forever after.

        I love you, Jackie.

Jackie was a spiritual mother to me. I was so blessed to have her in my life. The love and joy that poured out from that beautiful lady was so beautiful and contagious. The Lord used Jackie in so many ways in my life. She was a friend, a mentor, a prayer warrior and someone who just brought so much light into my life when I needed it most. She has made a huge impact in my life, and even my children. I will never forget her. My condolences to the whole family may the Lord give you peace and comfort during this time.

Jackie was a co-worker at Jolly Roger’s restaurant, the host of sheepshead on Thursday nights , a softball teammate and the BEST caregiver to my babies- Jimmy and Hayley. That I will always cherish!! I have smiled thinking of the many times she made me laugh. . She surely had passion for whatever she was doing. Jimmy, Chad, Sean David (joe was not born yet) – I am remembering us packing you all in the car to go to softball practice. Peace to your family and especially of her love of you all…

To Jackie’s Family, I am heartbroken for you All! Jackie is dancing in the streets of Heaven where there is a room made just for her! How blessed am I that I reconnected with Jackie after many years and took her Evangelism class Just last year! Jackie was my FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) leader over 30 years ago at Mukwonago High School, Im thinking of all the people that she has led to Jesus over the years! What a joyous time she is having with those who have gone before her. She was a light that drove out darkness where-ever she went! She loved her family more than anything in this world. She also loved her God more than anything in this world. She gave people hope in the Lord. She left a void in this world that is going to miss her so much! She definitely left a legacy behind. I am forever grateful 🙏 for the time I had with her, and the lessons I have learned from her! Jackie knew that the only thing she could take with her was Souls of the people she loved, and those she did not even know…She understood the assignment and finished the race! May we all follow with as much Love and Grace as Jackie did. May we all be reminded that this life is just a vapor, here today and gone tomorrow. Who will you take with you? Who will be waiting for redemption? My redeemer lives and he is waiting for all of us to be an example just like Jackie was! To take people with us, just like Jackie did! To love Jesus and people, Just like Jackie did! God is now waiting for us to carry Jackie’s torch, and run the good race! May God Bless us all and shine his face upon us as we continue to leave a legacy just like Jackie did! Like Jackie says In JESUS MIGHTY NAME! 🙏 🙏 🙏 I will forever remember Jackie Mama Graef and be forever changed because of her! I love you Jackie!
