Henry “Butch” L. Teetz Jr.

Henry “Butch” L. Teetz Jr., 82, of Greenfield, WI, passed away on October 21, 2026.

Butch was born on March 21, 1944, to the late Henry L. Teetz Sr. and Leona (Pagel) Teetz. In addition to his parents, Butch was preceded in death by his three siblings, Audrey (Mike) Potter, Myra (Bob) Reichertz, and Eddie (Jean) Teetz.

Butch attended Pulaski High School and went on to work for Harnischfeger. Soon after, he found his calling with the Greenfield Public Works Department, where he worked as a truck driver for 30 years.

Outside of work, Butch loved keeping busy with household projects and woodworking. He was always on the lookout for the latest and greatest tools and could often be found spending hours at the local hardware stores. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR in his spare time.

His true love, however, was his family. Butch married the love of his life, Dorothy (Koepp), on September 28, 1968, and together they shared 58 years of marriage. They were blessed with one son, Henry L. Teetz III. Henry and his wife, Lynn, have three children: Ryan, Jordan (Tommy), and Sydnee (Carlos).

Spending time with his grandchildren was one of Butch’s greatest joys. His son, Henry, and grandson, Ryan, inherited his knack for fixing things and his love of taking on projects, carrying on that tradition to this day.

Butch is also survived by nieces, nephews, and many close friends who will remember him fondly.

Visitation will be Friday, October 30, 2026 at HERITAGE FUNERAL HOME, 4800 S. 84th St., Greenfield, WI from 11AM-1:00PM with a funeral service at 1:00PM. Interment to follow at Highland Memorial Park.
