Ellen Ruth Bartz 

(Nee Bohlmann) Ellen was reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband Frederick on May 23rd, 2026 at the age of 94. Loving mother of Allan, Richard (Laura), and Deborah (Robert) Weishem. Proud grandma of Daniel (Stefanie), Kimberly (Justin), Joshua (Brooke), Amanda (John), Rick, Gregory (Lisa), Robert (Michelle), and Samantha (Travis). Gramma-gramma of Zoe, Lola, Evan, Mira, Finn, the late Henry, Tessa, Nolan, Scarlet, Martin, Preston, Cassidy, Bowie, Cheyenne, Brigitte, Charlotte, Caleb, Riley, and Maverick. Dear sister of the late Laurel, and Marcia (the late Glenn). Loving sister-in-law of Kathleen (the late Lynn), and the late Jerry (Judy). Also survived by other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 27th, at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church on 68th and Forest Home from 10am – 11am. The funeral service will follow at 11am.

Ellen was a proud Marine wife and daughter. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Ellen loved to spend time in her garden with her beloved roses, and had a very extensive teddy bear collection. Ellen was a longtime and faithful member of St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Milwaukee, and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
