Dorothy P. Kowalski

(nee Cesarz)

Born to Eternal Life Friday, February 27th, 2026, just 3 days before her 100th birthday. Loving wife of the late Jerome “Jerry”.  Beloved mother of Gregory (Kathryn) Kowalski, Dorene (John) Nevins, and Cynthia (Steven) Nolte.  Dear grandmother of Julia (Alex Hsu) Kowalski, Amanda (Jon Kao) Nevins, Michael (Nicole) Nevins, Kaitlin (Luke) Bibis, and Rachel Nolte. Great-grandmother of Clara Rei Hsu-Kowalski and Charlotte Rose Nevins.  Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many dear friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 6th, from 10AM – 11:45 AM, at St. John the Evangelist Church (8500 W. Coldspring Rd.). Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 12 PM.  Entombment to follow at St. Adalbert Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. John the Evangelist, St. Vincent de Paul Society or the Stars and Stripes Honor Flight appreciated.

Dorothy was a proud member of St. John the Evangelist Church where she served, with her husband Jerry, on the church festival board for 25 years. Dorothy also served the church on the counting committee as well as assisting during many church fish frys. Dorothy enjoyed her gardening, having a balcony full of flowers.  When not at church or tending to her flowers she could often be found with her dear friends on one of their beloved “retreats”. Dorothy’s greatest joy in life however was her family, she loved all of them very much!

She was so fun to be around and could hold her own in cards. She welcomed friends and family to great meals. Love of being part of her church. She will be missed.
