Dr. Romeo B. Biboso

It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of Dr. Romeo B. Biboso on Wednesday, February 25 in the year 2026 at the age of 92 in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin.

Born in 1933 in Iloilo, The Philippines, Romeo was the fifth of eight children born to Lucas and Enriqueta Biboso.  He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree in 1959 from the University of Santo Thomas in Manila.  It was there that he met the love of his life Erlinda Cepeda, whom he married in 1961.  His medical career brought him to Chicago, Illinois,  where he practiced obstetrics and gynecology.  He later transitioned into family practice.  Eventually, Romeo and Erlinda made their home in Wisconsin, where they raised their 4 children and built a life centered on family, faith and community.

A lifelong and devoted golfer, Romeo found great joy on the course. He played at Tuckaway Country Club in Franklin, Wisconsin where he was a proud member and also at Seabrook Island, South Carolina where he had a beloved holiday home.  Romeo also delighted in traveling, creating memorable family trips and visiting his children.  He was passionate about music; and loved playing the piano and singing in his community choir.  He enjoyed spending time with friends playing mahjong, poker, bingo and outings to the casino.  Above all he was happiest being “Lolo” to his cherished grandchildren, who brought him immense pride and happiness.

He will be dearly missed by his children:  Susan (Chris) Chard, Cynthia Biboso, Lisa (Eric) Mabbott and Eric (Alicia) Biboso.  His grandchildren Olivia and Lauren Mabbott and Brooks and Blake Biboso.  He is preceded in death by his wife Erlinda (née Cepeda), his parents and all of his siblings Santos, Rosario, Ignacio, Thelma, Maxima, Lucas Jr. and Concepcion.

The Biboso Family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated and compassionate staff at Generations of Discovery Commons Brookfield, whom Romeo adored and who cared for him so lovingly.

To honor and celebrate his life, the family will hold a private Mass of Christian Burial and inurnment which will take place at a later date at St. Marys Parish Hales Corners.

I so enjoyed visiting Romy and our lively conversations. He was a wonderful man who loved his family deeply. He made a mean potato salad that I loved and asked him to share with me. I’ve kept that recipe, made it numerous time, and will happily think of him every time I make it ♥️. He will be missed but never forgotten.

Mom and I send our deepest condolences and sympathy to all of you. Uncle Romy will be sorely missed. He and Auntie Inday were very close to mom and dad and the stories they told us, as kids, will hopefully leave lasting memories and laughs for all of you! I am grateful for his care when I would visit in New Berlin and his hospitality. I hope we can see all of you soon. We send our love to you.

I was very proud to be Romeo’s son in law.
He made me very welcome as part of the Biboso family.
He and Erlinda had such a great life story; from meeting in the Philippines to emigrating to the USA, then raising a wonderful family while working as a doctor in Chicago and Wisconsin
He’ll be greatly missed and I look forward to celebrating his life well lived, with the rest of the family.
