Dennis Ralph Zeisse

Age 73, of Burlington, WI passed away peacefully on August 19th, 2026 surrounded by loved ones.

Dennis was born on December 30th, 1952 in South Milwaukee to Ralph and Shirely Zeisse. He grew up in Caledonia and graduated from Case High School.

He spent his 43 year career as a Heavy Equipment Operator and was a proud Union member of IUOE Local 139 for 25 years. He was incredibly proud of his union and deeply grateful for the support and community it provided throughout his life. He often spoke with appreciation for the benefits his union provided, including the insurance coverage and pension that helped provide security for him and his family. Most importantly, he was deeply thankful for the continued support and care being provided to Georgene following his passing. Knowing that she would continue to be cared for brought him great comfort and peace. His gratitude for his union and the people who stood behind him was something he carried with him throughout his life.

At the center of his life was his beloved wife, Georgene. Their marriage of 45 years was a true partnership built on love, friendship, and unwavering devotion. He cherished their life together—the quiet everyday moments just as much as the milestones and adventures they shared. She was his greatest companion, his confidante, and the person he could always count on. Their love was a beautiful example of what it means to grow together, support one another, and build a family and a life side by side.

Dennis also loved camping, horseshoes, and spending quality time with his children and grandchildren.  When his children were young, he enjoyed family camping trips, creating the kind of memories that stayed with them for a lifetime. Later in life, during retirement, he and Georgene continued that tradition, enjoying camping together and making new memories as a couple. He shared a special and deeply meaningful bond with his children and grandchildren. He was a loving, devoted father who took great pride in the people they had become and was always there to offer his support, guidance, and encouragement. As a grandfather, he found tremendous joy in watching his grandchildren grow. He treasured every opportunity to spend time with them, create memories, share stories, and simply be part of their lives. His love for his family was unconditional, and each of his children and grandchildren held a special place in his heart. The lessons he taught, the memories he created, and the love he gave so freely will remain with them for generations to come.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Georgene, his children, Jessica (James) Neumeyer, Randall (Tiffany) Zeisse, Tony Zeisse and daughter-in-law Justine Zeisse.  His adoring grandchildren, Nora, Brody, Logan, Grant, Alexandria, Wesley, and Callen. He is also survived by his loving sister, Sharon Malicki and sister-in-laws Vicki Strasburg and Ann Berka.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Ralph and Shirley Zeisse.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate team at Aurora Home Health Hospice for the exceptional care, comfort, and support they provided. Their kindness and dedication brought peace and comfort to him and his family during his final days, and their care will always be deeply appreciated.

A celebration of Dennis’s life will be held on Monday, August 24th, at Heritage Funeral Homes – Oak Creek (9200 S. 27th St.). The Visitation will begin at 10am with a funeral service to start at 12/noon. Private interment will take place at Caledonia Memorial Park.

Awe It breaks my heart for his family but especially for his grandchildren Wesley and Callen. They loved him so deeply. Dapa was an amazing man who was the boys role model. When Wesley was little he built him a wheel because he knew Wes loved wheels. He will be greatly missed but his memories they will carry forever. Thank you for showing them love and compassion. You touched the boys hearts forever. 💛❤️
