Terry W. Peetz

Took his last breath on August 19th, 2026, at the age of 77. Loving husband and best friend of Kathy for 56 years. Proud dad of Kerri (Sasha) Engebrecht, and Michael (Sylvia) Peetz, and grandpa to Nathan (Bella Lawton), Jacob, Carter, Alaina, and Katie. Brother of Carolyn (Gary) Madsen. Brother-in-law of Dan (Jan Krane) Hinich. Further survived by cousins, other relatives and friends.

Terry was born in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, to John and Dorothy Peetz. While attending the University of Wisconsin–Madison, he met the love of his life, Kathy. They married in 1970 and shared a beautiful life filled with love, family, travel, music, and many cherished memories.

Terry proudly served in the United States Army and later worked for the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). He was a devoted husband and family man, but being a grandfather brought him some of his greatest joy. He rarely missed his grandchildren’s sporting events and proudly earned the nickname “General Manager of Grandpa’s Team.”

Terry loved watching basketball, playing his guitar, and listening to music. He also had a special appreciation for the simple wonders of the world—looking at the moon and stars, watching airplanes fly overhead, and in his last days finding joy in watching the birds eating out of the bird feeder. He and Kathy especially enjoyed their yearly road trips to Arizona, where they could enjoy the warmth and time together.

Terry will be remembered for his quiet strength, loving heart, and unwavering devotion to his family. His presence at their games, his love of music, and the many memories he created with Kathy, his children and grandchildren will be treasured forever.

He was deeply loved, will be greatly missed, and will always remain in the hearts of those who knew him.

Terry was a casual guy and in honor of him family would request that anyone that is planning to attend please dress casually.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to Elizabeth Residence of Franklin staff as well as Badger Hospice for their dedicated care of Terry and his family in his final days.

If so desired, memorials to, the Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration would be appreciated.
