David J. Pillar
“Dave”

Passed away unexpectedly on January 15, 2026, age 71 years. Cherished husband of Deb. Preceded in death by his parents Henry Pillar and Teresa Guzman and sisters Sue Pillar and Valerie Guzman. Further survived by other relatives, many good and dear friends, and his four-legged buddy Rufus.

Dave enjoyed his time driving truck for FedEx Freight – retiring only 6 years ago. He had a way of telling a story and loved telling stories about his years driving truck to anyone who would listen. He was a man of many opinions and would happily to tell you exactly what you should believe. His best times were spent with Deb – and a close second would be walking the dog while smoking a cigar. He watched TV – especially enjoying Maury Povich, Judge Judy, The People’s Court and cooking shows.

In accordance with Dave’s wishes, no formal funeral services will be held.

If desired, memorials to your local pet shelter are greatly appreciated.

So sorry to hear about Dave’s passing. We worked together at Inland. He was always ready to lend a hand. We had some adventures outside of Inland as well. I believe he is delivering some packages to the angels in heaven now.
