In Loving Memory of

Dana Lynn Jaeger

With heavy hearts, we remember Dana Lynn Jaeger (nee Jelinski), who passed away at the age of 43. Dana was a beloved wife, daughter, sister, aunt, granddaughter, and friend whose presence brought light and warmth to all who knew her.

Dana’s life was a testament to faith, love, and dedication. As a devoted wife to Mitch, she found joy in every moment they shared—especially their adventures visiting zoos together, a passion that reflected her gentle spirit and love for all living things. Dana’s family was her foundation: the cherished daughter of Debra Schmidt and Wayne (Carrie) Jelinski, treasured daughter-in-law of Cheryl and Stanley Aldinger, and loving sister to Tina Jelinski-Dorn (the late Patrick) (Paul) and Dona (Ivan) Jelinski. She was a proud auntie to Logan and Scarlett, and a beloved granddaughter of Glenn Schmidt. Dana’s circle of love extended to her sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and many other family members, friends, and pets.

Known affectionately as “Mrs. Dana” by the children she cared for, Dana was a dedicated childcare teacher whose nurturing heart and unwavering optimism touched countless lives. Her creativity shone through in her crafts, party planning, and the way she captured life’s moments in photographs. Dana’s love for all things Winnie the Pooh was a reflection of her own gentle, joyful nature.

Dana’s faith in Jesus was the cornerstone of her life, guiding her actions and inspiring those around her. Her optimistic outlook and compassionate heart left a lasting impact on everyone she met. She will be deeply missed, but her legacy of kindness, creativity, and faith will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.

A visitation to celebrate Dana’s life will be held on Saturday, January 31st, at Peace Lutheran Church (17651 W Small Rd, New Berlin, WI 53146) from 10:30am until 12pm, followed by a funeral service at noon. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are appreciated.

Dana’s memory will forever be a blessing to those who loved her.

Debbie-I am so sorry to hear about Dana. You & your family are in my thoughts and prayers. I thought this quote from Pooh might be appropriate. “How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard” With my deepest sympathy-Sue.
