Candy
Stein

Candy Stein has headed to the great craft room in the sky. She left us on January 8, 2026, leaving behind a legendary “stash” of craft supplies that her family is still trying to organize.
Candy was a master of all things handmade.  Whether she was scrapbooking cherished memories, stamping, or coming up with her next craft piece, her hands were rarely still. Her home was a gallery of her creativity, filled with the warmth of handmade treasures that her friends and family will cherish forever.
If you knew her, she had a big personality, a bigger laugh, and loved her friends and family.  As much as she loved her glue gun, she loved her pets more. Candy’s house was never quiet and never empty; it was a sanctuary for her dogs and cats, who she treated like royalty.  Later in life she found her passion for sports, especially going to Brewers games with Steven.

She leaves behind a legacy of kindness and creativity.

Candy is now at rest with her parents, Edward and Ione Damro, her son, Steven Stein, and her nephew Scott Damro, as well as her many cherished pets who went before her.  She is survived by her sons Craig Salzer (Courtney) and Mark Stein, her brother Terry Damro (Sue), her grandchildren Drew and Gabby, and her niece Kelly Still (Taylor) and her grand nieces, Claire and Naomi.  She is also survived by her loving cats, Scooter, Autumn, and Chloe.
To honor Candy’s lifelong love for animals, memorial contributions may be directed to the Wisconsin Humane Society in her memory.

Candy was a kind friend. Always up beat and her laugh was a contagious and she is missed. Her crafting knowledge was amazing and she always shared her talents and her stash of craft supplies. Not that long ago she took on being an Uber Driver and had many stories to share. She loved going to Casinos and Gambling with a few friends.
Always loved her family and was happy to share loving stories regarding them. She will always be remembered.
