LUENEBURG, CLEMENCE WILLIAM
Age 87 years, passed away at Lakeshore manor early Tuesday morning March 12, 2002. Clem was born Sept. 15, 1914 in Oak Creek to Friedrich and Emma nee Vollmer Lueneburg.

He graduated from the Milwaukee Area Barber School. Clem was a barber in Franksville for most of his 66 years of barbering. On July 9, 1938, he was united in marriage to Deloris Gutknecht, who preceded him in death two years ago on March 18, 2000. They had been married for nearly 62 years. Clem, fondly called ”Pompie” by his family, was well known throughout the area as he cut the hair of four generations of many families. He had Clem’s Polka Band for years. Clem’s hobby was raising swans, which he did for more than 40 years. He was named 1987 ”Man of The Year” by the Franksville Businessmen’s Association. Clem was an active member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church – Racine. He was a Mason, member of Racine Lodge # 18 F&AM.

His family was his greatest enjoyment. He and Deloris loved visiting family and friends, socializing and dining out.

He is survived by his daughter, Sharon Dennis Johnson,Franksville; sons Gary Patricia Lueneburg, Franksville and James Linda Lueneburg, Neenah. Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren; Rae Ann Rodney Good; Scott Terri Johnson and children Trevor and Tanner; Steve Linda Johnson and children Brennan, Bailey and Logan, all of Franksville; Tracy Jim Dorlack and children Taylor and Troy, Racine; Kristine Wade Naidl and son Brock, Oak Creek; Jason Julie Lueneburg and son Jackson, Neenah; Gregory Danielle Lueneburg and son Gavin, Little Chute. Sisters-in-law: Verna Lueneburg, Helen Brossman, Lillian Gutknecht and Ruth Gutknecht. Preceded in death by sister, Elsie Barbieri and two brothers Alfred and Loren Lueneburg.

Funeral Services will be held at the Funeral Home chapel Friday 10:30 AM. Burial will follow in Arlington Park Cemetery, Greenfield. In state Thursday at the Funeral Home fro 4:00 – 8:00 PM and Friday 9:30 Am until time of servide 10:30 AM.

Memorials to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church – Racine or the Nurse’s Foundation of Racine are suggested by the family.
