Bill Anthony DiGiorgio Sr.

1951  –  2025

Bill Anthony Di Giorgio, Sr., age 74, of Fond du Lac passed away peacefully on Friday, August 1st, surrounded by loved ones. Born on June 25th,1951 in Milwaukee’s East Side to Joseph and Romona (Taylor), Bill lived a life full of faith, music, love and service to others.

A devoted Catholic, Bill lived his faith through compassion, kindness and a deep commitment to human dignity. He believed in the power of love –  a belief he exemplified throughout his 55-year marriage and his unwavering devotion to his family.

Bill is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara (Genich); his children, Tina (Verdin) and Anthony; sister-in-law, Rachel (Mull); grandchildren Alaina (Macaulay), Alycia (Mueller), Olivia (Verdin), Antonino, and Gianna; and his five great-grandchildren (Kiya, Avery, Crue, Gentry, Quay). He is preceded in death by his oldest son, Bill Jr., his parents Romona and Joseph, and his siblings Joseph II, and Deborah (Figueroa).

Family and friends will remember Bill for his infectious laughter, his love of Motown music, his endless repertoire of ghost stories, and his deep pride in his Italian heritage. His unwavering faith and his remarkable ability to make everyone feel seen, valued, and loved left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, August 8th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., immediately followed by a Funeral Mass at 1:00pm:

    Bill was such an incredible person. His smile was infectious and he always included everyone in conversation. His love is admirable. He passing has left hole in our family. Thank you to the entire DiGiorgio family for sharing this great man with us. We will cherish the memories. I’m incredibly sorry for you loss.

    As a fellow Italian that married into this wonderful German family, Bill and I shared many wonderful stories of so many mutual friends. . I felt like I was with a close cousin.. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire DiGiorgio family.

    Bill worked hard all his life to support his family. Now he can rest. He will be sadly missed by all.
    Our thoughts are with Barb and all the family, especially today as it will be a very emotional day.
