Richard W. Miller “Dick”
Joined his beloved wife, Georgia in Heaven on August 2, 2025, he was 85 years old. Loving father of Dawn (Jim Ziolkowski) Miller and Mark (Sandy) Miller. Cherished grandfather of Eddie York. Dear brother of MaryAnn (the late Ralph) Sutyla and Eugene (the late Diane) Miller. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Dick married his beloved Georgia at St. James Ev. Lutheran Church in Wauwatosa. Dick and Georgia lived in several places in the Milwaukee over the years area before settling in Franklin in the early 1970’s. It was then that they began attending St. Paul’s Lutheran in Franklin.
Dick was an insurance agent in the Milwaukee area for over 40 years – having his own Allstate agency for the majority of his career.
Dick had a passion for music – playing the guitar, mandolin, piano, banjo, and accordion. He played the guitar for St. Paul’s preschool for many years, with the sing-alongs bringing him the most enjoyment. He also played in many bands over the years and just a few weeks ago he went to Waterford for a bluegrass jam session.
But it was his family that meant the most to Dick – all the memories of spending time with family and friends at Shady Oaks near Little Green Lake over the years that brought both Dick and Georgia so much joy. But it was Dick’s devotion to Georgia, especially in their later years, that truly showed his character and the love he had for her. Dick was Georgia’s constant companion and was attentive to her needs, ensuring that she always felt loved and supported.
Visitation Thurs., August 14, 2025, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 6881 S. 51st St. in Franklin from 9:00 AM until the time of the Funeral Service at 12:00 noon. Private interment Arlington Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the St. Paul’s Church Pre-School are greatly appreciated.
The family wish to thank the staff at St. Luke’s surgical ICU – especially Holly and Max for their skilled and compassionate care they provided over the last week.
