Dianne Kreitzer passed away peacefully on Monday, July 28, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She was 76. Born in Milwaukee to Jim and Geraldine Kreitzer, Dianne graduated New Berlin High School (now New Berlin West) and went on to attend Milwaukee Area Technical College. She met the love of her life, David, while cruising on Highway 100, and loved him so deeply that they married twice—first in 1970, and after a period apart, remarried in 1990.
Dianne built a successful career as a real estate agent and was an active and valued member of the Milwaukee Board of Realtors and the Women’s Council of Realtors until her retirement in 2019. In her spare time she enjoyed meeting up with her friends and socializing. She enjoyed her crafts, trivia, reading, and karaoke. She loved being a mother, but enjoyed being a Nana more than anything.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Geraldine Kreitzer; her husband, David; her cousin, Carol; her niece, Shelley; her great-nephew, Alexander; and numerous other family members and friends.
Dianne is survived by her daughter, Carly (Nick) Held; granddaughter, Addie; brothers Mike (Mary Beth) Kreitzer and John (Karen) Kreitzer; nephews Adam (Amy) Kreitzer and Jim (Katie) Kreitzer; nieces Heather (Tim) Zeilstra, Laurie Bunk and Holly (Jamey) Walter; great-nieces and great-nephews Valerie, Jason, Rachel, Teagan, Nolan, Danny, Anna, Owen, Mallory, Eliahana, Abbie, Connor, and Kahliah; and her dear Godson Daniel McGeen.
Davey and Dianne were dear friend of ours for many years. My husband Michael, passed away on December 30, 2024 and Dianne was so very supportive to me in that most difficult time in my life! She had been in the hospital at that time and we talked for over 3 hours one Friday night. We talked about everything-especially about our husband’s Davey & Mike! We laughed & we cried-so many wonderful memories we had shared over the years. We lived in Connecticut for many years and Davey, Diane & Carly drove out for a visit- one May-never forgot that visit because we had 100 degrees in CT in May. Thankfully we had a pool we could enjoy & keep cool! So Diane & Carly wanted to see Boston and Mike took them there. Davey and I had different plans-he wanted to go to Foxwoods Casino in Ct. So all of us were happy with our day trips!! I am very sad to say goodbye to Dianne-but I know they are all in Heaven-Davey-Dianne-& my husband Mike-watching over us-with Love Beyond Measure-may they all rest in Peace!!!
