A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026 from 10:00am – 11:00am followed by a service at 11:00am at ST. PAUL’S LUTHERAN CHURCH S66 W14325 Janesville Rd. Muskego, WI 53150. Interment at a later date at Rienzi Cemetery Fond Du Lac, WI.

 

Vera “Betty” Elizabeth Kuhn, age 92, of Muskego, Wisconsin passed away on March 3, 2026 at her home in Muskego.  Betty was born on December 12, 1933 to Henry and Vera (Hannemann) Kuhn in Appleton, WI.

Betty was baptized at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Appleton, WI in 1934, and was confirmed at Riverview Lutheran Church in Appleton, WI in 1948.  She graduated from Valparaiso University with a teaching degree in 1955.  She was united in marriage to Bruce Marggraf on June 18, 1955 in Appleton, WI.  Her husband’s work led them to live in California, Utah and Guatemala. In retirement they moved to Muskego, WI.

Betty fiercely loved her family and her Savior Jesus Christ. She loved to spend time with her siblings, often arranging a gathering of her brother and sisters at her home in Muskego. Spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her great joy. Betty was a devout Christian and an active member of every church to which she belonged. She served her churches as an organist and pianist. She also hosted many Bible classes in her home.

She had a passion for cooking, playing bridge, world travel and music. During her work career she was a Lutheran elementary school teacher and taught piano lessons in her home to hundred of students over the years.

Betty was preceded in death by her father and mother, and by her infant grandson, Bruce Marggraf.

She is survived by her sons: Bruce (Kathy) Marggraf of Sussex, WI; Paul (Meg) Marggraf of Delano, MN; David (Jeanine Gaynor) Marggraf of Lake Geneva, WI; grandchildren: Beth (Christian) Ristow, Anne (Jeff) Sontag, Emily (Andy) Symons, Lynn (Luke) Rattei, Sara (Mike) Johnson, Matthew Marggraf, Daniel (Hannah) Marggraf, Michael Marggraf and Elisa Marggraf; 17 great-grandchildren; brother Hank (Sandra) Kuhn; sister Ruth (Roger) Sprain; sister Barbara (Greg) Campbell, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Betty’s family loves her dearly and looks forward to their blessed reunion in heaven.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church appreciated.
