Betty J. Tobiasz (nee Celesnik), 88, passed away Friday, May 16th, 2025. Loving wife of Jerome “Harry” Tobiasz for 57 years. Preceded in death by her parents, Anton and Jenny Celesnik, her sisters and their husbands, Delores (James) Acker and Micky (Thomas) Novotny; brothers-in law Sylvester, Raymond (Mabel), Joseph (Rose), Aloysius (Eunice) Tobiasz; sisters-in-law Esther Tobiasz and Theresa (Roy) Brazeau. Survived by her many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Betty was a long-time employee of Rexnord/Nordco.
Betty was an avid gardener, and she enjoyed spending time at her cottage, on Lake Noquebay, in Crivitz where there were many beautiful sunsets to enjoy. She was an avid walker and enjoyed the fresh air and all the sites the Lord had to offer. She also enjoyed crocheting afghans and making ceramic pottery.
Betty was a kind and loving woman. Along with her husband Harry, she cared deeply about her community in Watertown. She was a faithful and active member of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church and was a member of the Catholic Women’s Club. She volunteered at the Church as well as at The Marquardt facility where she could “help the old folks.”
She was a beautiful and strong woman, her faith and family meant everything to her and she was always there to help others. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A memorial visitation will take place on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at ST. MATTHIAS CATHOLIC PARISH (9306 Beloit Rd. Milwaukee) from 9 am – 10 am with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am. Interment at MOUNT OLIVET CEMETERY.
