William ”Willie” Hohnke, Jr.
of Jefferson died Thursday, November 29, 2001 at age 89. Born June 4, 1912 to William Hohnke, Sr. and Theresa Kratschmier, he was educated at Sandhill. A life long member of the community, Willie was a farmer on his family’s farm which is the present location of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
Brothers and sisters who preceded him in death are Ella Russell Dabel, Robert Hohnke, Theodore Hohnke,Martha Tilley, and Alma Otto Carpenter.
Willie is survived by his sister Meta Carpenter of Platteville,Wi., sister-in-law Alice Hohnke of Fort Atkinson, nieces and nephews Linda Charles Witz of Platteville, Wi., Sandra James Tindell of Sun City W.,AZ, Dennis Dianna Carpenter of Cuba City, WI, Ruth John Patrick of Johnson Creek, Wi., Leon Carpenter of Beloit, Wi., James Grace Carpenter of Stratford, WI, Douglas Carpenter of Stevens Point, Wi., Sally Mason of Whitewater, Wi., Robert Hohnke Jr. of Sullivan, WI, Joann Meyer of Fort Atkinson, Wi.,Dolores Niemeier of Palmyra, Wi., and Marilyn Nelson of Rogers, AR, Elmer Tilley of Appleton, Wi., Doris Tilley of Appleton, Wi., Tilly Mae Tilley of Colorado Springs, Co.
Visitation will be Tuesday, December 4, 2001 from 12:00-1:00pm at the Heritage Funeral Home Chapel, Palmyra, Wi. Funeral services will be at 1:00pm. Pastor Steve Blyth will be officiating. Interment Prairie Home Cemetery, Waukesha.
