Tuesday, March 28th, 2017, age 92. Loving husband of Lee (nee Dunham) for 68 years. Devoted dad of Debbie (Bert) Fields, William Jr. (Mary), the late Joel, Amii (Bud George), and April (Kyle) Drake. Very proud grandpa of Mark (Joy) and Carrie Fields, Dunham, Emily and James Leiner, Conor and Eric Drake. Great-grandpa of Elijah William Fields. He also leaves behind cousins, other relatives and friends.
Bill was born in Cincinnati, Ohio to Walter and Henrietta Leiner. He graduated from Walnut Hills High School and the University of Cincinnati School of Engineering in 1950 and was a lifelong Bearcat fan.
Bill was a member of the N.C. Harmony Masonic Lodge #2 in Cincinnati for 70 years. He served as an aircraft mechanic with the US Army Air Corps in Europe during WWII.
Bill’s work brought him and his family to Wisconsin in 1963 where he worked over 35 years for Inryco, a subsidiary of Inland Steel, as a professional engineer. In his retirement he enjoyed world travel with Lee and spending time with his family. Bill was a humble, kind and loving man who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Visitation will be held at the FUNERAL HOME on Wednesday, April 5th, from 5-6:30PM, followed by the funeral service at 6:30PM. Interment Vine Street Hill Cemetery, Cincinnati, OH.
