Standiford
William “Bill” Standiford born on July 5, 1944 passed away peacefully on September 11, 2026 with caring doctors, nurses, family and friends at his side. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Blanche, in-laws, Arne and Geneva Johnson and other family. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Judith, a sister, Karen (the late Ronald) and brother-in-law, Arne (Annette). Loving uncle to Jan (Eduardo), David (Heidi), Kerry (the late James) and Kimberly (Charles). Great Uncle to Alex, Andy, Maria, Oscar, Anders, Lucy, Brady and Sydney. Special friends, Dan and Diane, John and Kathie, Kenny and Julie, and many cousins.
As a young boy he played baseball for the Stars of Yesteryear. In adulthood he enjoyed bowling, playing tennis, golf, softball, gin rummy, dancing, X-C skiing, old TV Westerns, gardening for the hummingbirds and the Wisconsin sunshine!
He was an active member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, a willing volunteer to several organizations and a proud U.S. Army Veteran. Bill retired after 43 years working for the Oilgear Company in Milwaukee.
Together we ended each night with: ” love you dearie”….love you too girl.”
He was a kind, generous, brave and courageous man loved by many.
A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2026 from 1:00pm – 2:30pm with a service to follow at 2:30pm at HERITAGE FUNERAL HOME 16880 W. National Ave. New Berlin, WI 53151. Private inurnment to be held at a later date at Arlington Park Cemetery. Memorials, if desired, to Redeemer Lutheran Church, 631 N. 19th Street, Milwaukee, WI 53233.
