Lang, Vernetta M. (nee Stieber) of the Town of Raymond.
Passed away Saturday January 24, 2015 at the age of 83 years. Beloved wife of the late Oscar of 63 years. Loving mother of Duane (Josephine “JoAnn”) Lang, Doreen (Maynard) Dulak, Steven (Lynn) Lang, Jerry (Wendey) Lang, Doris (Gary) LangBruttig, Joe Lang, David (Dawn Ellingsen) Lang, Marilyn (Dennis) Zenisek, and Dale (Laura) Lang. Dear daughter of the late Otto and Laura (nee Murr) Stieber. Sister of the late Loretta (the late Niles) Hamilton, the late Elroy (Helen) Stieber, Marian (the late Joe) Van Kollenburg, the late Ralph Stieber, Sylvia (the late Wallace) Hintz, the late Virginette Stieber, Joan (the late Myron) Schmitz, John (Janet) Stieber,Theresa (Richard) Wohlford, and Juliann (Jack) Froom. Also survived by 16 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held Saturday, January 31, 2015, from 9AM-12PM at the FUNERAL HOME. A Memorial Mass will follow Saturday at 1PM at ST. LOUIS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 13207 County Rd G (I-94 and HWY G). Please meet at the church.
Vernetta was a soft spoken, gentle spirit. She was a kind hearted woman and life-long homemaker who loved her family dearly. She enjoyed flower gardening and camping with her family. She met her husband, Oscar, of 63 years when they were both young teens in a bean patch. They were reunited a few years later and married on October 3, 1951. Both Vernetta and Oscar enjoyed dancing to Polka and old-time music.
