Passed away Saturday January 24, 2015 at the age of 83 years. Beloved husband of the late Vernetta (nee Stieber) of 63 years. Loving father of Duane (Josephine “JoAnn”) Lang, Doreen (Maynard) Dulak, Steven (Lynn) Lang, Jerry (Wendey) Lang, Doris (Gary) LangBruttig, Joe Lang, David (Dawn Ellingsen) Lang, Marilyn (Dennis) Zenisek, and Dale (Laura) Lang. Dear son of the late Joseph and Elsie (nee Dalsky) Lang. Brother of the late Raymond (the late Mildred) Lang, the late Agnes (the late Ernie) Murray, the late Victor (the late Julia) Lang, the late Theresa Lang, the late Alos “Rusty” (the late Mildred) Lang, the late Leona (the late Robert) Corda, Charles (the late Georgene) Lang, Norbert (Frances) Lang, the late Irene (the late Leonard) Semski, and Marcella (the late Ray) Dabroski. Also survived by 16 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held Saturday, January 31, 2015, from 9AM-12PM at the FUNERAL HOME. A Memorial Mass will follow Saturday at 1PM at ST. LOUIS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 13207 County Rd G (I-94 and HWY G). Please meet at the church.
Oscar was a long-time truck driver and dedicated many years working for Benz Oil, Tank Transport, and Badger Ford. He was an avid fisherman and in later years very much enjoyed his vegetable garden. He met his wife, Vernetta, of 63 years when they were both young teens in a bean patch. They were reunited a few years later and married on October 3, 1951. Both Oscar and Vernetta enjoyed dancing to Polka and old-time music.
