Van Remmen

Thomas “Tom” Van Remmen passed to eternal life on January 3, 2026 at the age of 77. Born December 19, 1948 in Milwaukee, WI to Francis and Adeline.
Tom’s greatest joy was his family—his devoted wife, his children who made him proud, and the grandchildren who lit up his world. He carried them with him in everything he did. Tom had an adventurous spirit, happiest on his motorcycle with the open road ahead. With his brothers, life was full of laughter and a little mischief. His warm smile, easy nature, and love for life made everyone he met feel like a friend.
Survived by his wife and best friend Chrissy (Christine) and sons Eric (Sandy) and Jason (Jennie) Van Remmen and stepdaughter Cortney (Edwin) Chavarria.  Further survived by his beloved grandchildren Madalyn, Ella, Daisy, Anthony, Emma, Jordan, Noel, Michael, Sophia and great-grandchild Evelyn as well as many loved relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, brothers Gene (Judy), Glenn and Duane (Nancy) and stepdaughter Danielle.
A private burial will be held at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church and Cemetery with a celebration of life planned for a later date.  Due to this, no flowers please.

My Uncle Tom was the best Uncle! He called his family members for every birthday and always on holidays. We always looked forward to those calls. He was always so upbeat and just a plain joy to talk to. I will cherish my last visits and phone calls with him. He is now reunited with all of his brothers in Heaven. Our worlds will not be the same without his bright light. I love him dearly. He will be so very missed!
