Thomas Burton
Brufach

65, passed away unexpectedly September 21, 2016. He was born to Joseph and Angeline Brufach in Milwaukee, WI.

Tom lived each day to the fullest. He was truly in his element when surrounded by sunshine, water, and friends and family. Tom often escaped the long Wisconsin winters by traveling to Caribbean beaches, befriending fellow vacationers with his jokes and stories wherever he went.
Tom, a creature of habit, frequented certain bars and restaurants throughout the years. Always up for making friends, he might buy the person next to him a drink or, better-yet, offer to “shake” him for one. Bar Dice, a famous Wisconsin game, captured Tom’s competitive and tenacious spirit.
Although a lifelong Wisconsinite, Tom lived his last few years in Nevada, enjoying the sunny desert while cruising in his beloved red convertible.

Tom will be forever missed and loved by his family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Sandy Brufach, his four children; Gary Brufach (Vonna), Steven Bennett, Angelica Shiels (R.J.), and Courtney Syme (Kyle Sobotik); as well as his sister, Cheryl Krueger (Clint Gundrum). Tom was blessed with 8 grandsons: Tyler Brufach, Tyler and Alex Bennett, Ronnie, Charlie, and Benny Shiels, Sloan Syme, and Oliver Sobotik. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews as well as brothers and sisters in-law.

A memorial service celebrating Tom’s life will be held on November 12, 2016, 2-4pm at the Funeral Home.
