Westerhaus, Theodore “Ted” A.
Passed away on Tuesday, September 20th, 2016. He was born September 26th, 1938 to Gustav A. and Frieda (nee Bruss) in Watertown, WI, where he graduated from Northwestern Prep School. He then went on to Spencerian Business College in Milwaukee, where he met Gloria Schneider. At the same time he was active in the Air Force National Guard for six years. They were married May 25th, 1963. They lived in Big Bend, WI, where they raised their four children. He worked as an accountant at Waukesha Memorial Hospital and Fairey Arlon in Racine. After retirement he drove school bus.
He was very active at church, served on boards, council, and sang in the choir. But most of all, he loved his family. He also enjoyed the Packers, Brewers, and Badgers.
He is survived by his wife Gloria (nee Schneider), and children Nancy (Jason) Bartelt, Tim (Jenni) Westerhaus, Brian (Michele) Westerhaus, and Jennifer (Matthew) Bugenhagen, and his grandchildren Kyle and Aubrey Bartelt, and Lauren, Rachel, Katie, and Amara Bugenhagen, and Sophia Westerhaus. He is preceded in death by his brothers Paul (the late Brenda), Martin (Phylis), and brother-in-law Walter (Jeanette) Wichmann. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation for Ted will be Friday, September 30th from 4-7pm, at CHRIST EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, S.89 W. 22970 Maple Ave, Big Bend, followed by memorial service at 7pm. Rev. Ian Headrick officiating.
