Terry Lynn Plant

Terry Lynn Plant, 81, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2026 surrounded by his loving family. Born on September 8, 1944, Terry lived a quiet life with his parents on the south side of Milwaukee.

Terry grew up loving baseball where he played short stop or third base and developed into an excellent player. He had may friends who became life-long friends. He went fishing and golfing many times with his father and they also enjoyed attending Green Bay Packer games with family and friends. They happily saw many of the Packers championship games including the Ice Bowl.

In 1964, Terry married Charmaine Gocha and they had five children, three grandchildren and a sweet little great grandson who is 5 1/2 months old. They divorced in 1992 but remained family and celebrated holidays and family and friends functions together for the rest of his life.

He retired from GE in 2005 after 36 years of service.

During his retirement, he enjoyed taking day trips; attending NASCAR races; outdoor events, fishing trips with his son; listening to music; coin and baseball card shows; going to the theatre; baseball games with his daughter and spending time with his grand-doggies. One of his favorite things to do was visit the Senior Center and talk to people who needed a friend. He did the same thing at his church as well as with the people who lived in his apartment complex. Making people laugh or smile made him happy.

Terry is preceded in death by his parents Alfred and Lavila Plant and his son Darrell. He will be deeply missed by his daughter Debra; his son Daniel; his son Donald (Lori); his daughter Denise (Justin) Dickmann; grandchildren Kelsey, Timothy and Haley and great grandchild Benjamin.

He will be deeply missed as the memories he left behind are loving and precious. We can see his smile and hear his laugh and we know he is in Heaven with our Lord and Savior where he is at peace. One day we will be with him again.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2026 from 11:00am – 1:00pm with a service at 1:00pm at ST. PAUL’S LUTHERAN CHURCH 6881 S. 51st St. Franklin, WI 53132. Burial to be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church will be appreciated.

Denise, your dad will truly be missed. He was always a ray of sunshine whether he was cheering out team on during volleyball or just shooting the breeze while we played dart league, everyone always smiled when he was around. My ❤️ goes out to you and your family, may he be at peace 🕊

My heart is with all of you! One of the greatest memories I have of Uncle Terry is when we moved back to Wisconsin in 1988. My mother and I plus our dog and cat came down ahead of everyone else and that summer happened to be very hot. Uncle Terry came over and had brought us a big air conditioner so we wouldn’t suffer through the hot summer. Needless to say my mother and I and the animals slept downstairs, it was the coolest spot in the house. He was our knight in shiny armor! But that’s what a kind man he was and he would go out of his way to help. He will be truly missed!
