Shirley Ann Brandt (nee Schantzen) passed away on August 17, 2022 at the age of 85 from complications of dementia. She is survived by her daughter Cheryl (Marty) Slanc, sisters Agnes (Eric) Geldner, and Beverly Kozlowski. Grandchildren Kimberly (Rene’a) Hernandez, Keri (Chris) Lawson, Kenneth (Crystal) Brandt, Christopher (Jennifer) Mateljan, Thomas (Brenda) Mateljan, John (Kathleen) Mateljan. Further survived by great grandchildren and relatives. Preceded in death by the love of her life husband Kenneth Brandt, daughter Roxann Mateljan, and Ed Kozlowski
Shirley was a long time active member of St. Augustine of Hippo parish in BayView. Lovingly known as the hat lady for all the hats she knitted. Happily seen serving and laughing at the friday night fish fry, or playing bingo in the basement. Proud member of the American Legion Post 180.
