Salvatore J. “Teddy” Glorioso
1930 – 2025
Salvatore J. “Teddy” Glorioso entered into eternal life on April 17, 2025, at the age of 95, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Rose Mary Glorioso, proud and loving father of three children, Theresa Antonicci (late Russell), Michael Glorioso (Pamela) and the late Gloria Glorioso. Loving and caring grandfather of Salvatore and Timothy Alioto, dearest brother of the late Joseph Glorioso (late Mary), late Eddie Glorioso (late JoAnn), late Nick Glorioso (Dorothy), late Rosalie Glorioso, Anthony Glorioso (late Lois), and Charles Glorioso (Josephine). He will also be missed by his nieces, nephews, cousins and many, many good and dear friends and dedicated employees.
Teddy was born on March 20,1930 into the family of Felice and Theresa Glorioso and was the fourth of six siblings. In 1946, as a young man at the age of 16, he joined his two brothers, Joe and Eddie, and opened Glorioso Bros. on Brady Street. In 1951, the brothers then opened Trio’s Pizza next to their grocery store, one of the first pizza parlors in Milwaukee. In 1960, the brothers opened Glorioso’s Italian Villa and in 2010, Joe and Teddy opened Glorioso’s Italian Market on Brady Street. In addition, since the 1960’s to present, Teddy owned and operated Glorioso’s Gold Imports.
He was a Charter member of the Italian Community Center, President and member of UNICO for 61 years, Pompeii Men’s Club, Sons of Sicily, Holy Crucifix Society, Madonna Del Lume Society, Holy Cross Cemetery communion steward (20 years), prominent figure with Brady Street Festival, Festa Italiana, and St. Rita’s street festivals, Jewelers Board of Trade, member National Jeweler’s Association, a reserve police officer and Army Veteran.
Teddy married his wife Rose Mary in 1950 and were married for “75 years”. Teddy was still working at the age of 95 when he passed, which is the only way he would have it. He was a hard worker his entire life and lived to provide for his family and the many people of his extended family. He took great pride and comfort in helping so many people who needed and relied on him throughout their lives. Teddy enhanced the lives of those through his exceptional ability of making friends and maintaining friendships while treating everyone like they were “family”. He was especially giving to those who were less fortunate, whether he knew them or not. He touched so many people’s lives and will be missed by all.
Visitation Thursday, May 8, 2025 at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist 812 N. Jackson Street, Milwaukee, WI 53202 from 10:00am to 12:00 noon followed by the Funeral Mass at 12:00 noon. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Teddy’s name may be directed to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.

My deepest condolences to the Glorioso Familia on the passing of my Cousin. Teddy was always my mother’ favorite (Catherine) and he will always have a special place in my heart.
Sincere condolences to the Glorioso Family. I’ve been lucky enough to know Teddy since I was a little girl. As an adult my best birthday was when my family waited at his store for me and everyone yelled surprise when I walked in, then Teddy helped me pick out a beautiful pair of earrings. I will miss his smile, sense of humor and kindness. Rest in peace with God.
Michael and Family I am very sorry for your loss.. Whenever I would come to the store. There was your father, either by the check out counter or by the small table. But where ever he was in the store- he was the standard.. In his later years I enjoyed his stories and our conversations. God Bless Teddy and his family
