I remember going to Aunt Ruth’s and Uncle Del’s sometimes when we went to my grandparents’ house (Mathilda and Clarence Koch). The family gatherings in the basement of their home. The crazy wedding and anniversary antics…..ball and chain around the groom’s ankle, the bride handcuffed to her mother, and my dad (Urban/Bill) dressed up as a child bride for a shotgun wedding. For years we exchanged Christmas cards and once in a while a letter was sent in them to catch up on the family. She is with God and back with Uncle Del…..rest in peace.

I have no greater memories than those of the good times we all had as kids, young adults, and parents with children
at Virgin Lake in Three Lakes, WI when Uncle Del and Aunt Ruth had their 3 rental cottages, with the pump
house and outhouses. The fishing was always excellent and swimming out to the raft was a daily occurrence.
My daughters quickly learned that you did not stand in one place for too long in the weedy water because the leeches
quickly found your young girls legs an inviting repast So many wonderful good memories thanks to Aunt Ruth and Uncle
Del, together at last.. God bless them both from all the Wayne Koch family.

I have many fond memories of Aunt Ruth and the rest of the Koch family. Looking at the photos that we have of her in our photo albums, Ruth always had a warm smile and if not, she was caught mid laugh. Our family always thought so highly of her and often thought about her. While I’m sad to know that she’s no longer with us, I take great solace in knowing that she has been reunited with Uncle Del. I’m sure there’s quite a party going on beyond the Pearly Gates!

I have such fond memories of Ruth throughout the 60 years I’ve been best friends with Dolly. From our early teens spending the summers in Three Lakes to our 1st trip of every year with Dolly, Ruth, and Jodi to Mukwonago Days to buy what felt like every hanging plant they sold! May you rest in peace. Love, Laura

The memories i have of Mrs. Koch and (I say Mrs. Koch because thats how we were raised) and the Koch family are numerous and priceless. The yearly vacations to Three lakes were always looked foward too in anticipation of a fun adventure and sometimes a educational trip, learning from Mr. Koch how to precisely fall a tree or the proper way to stack firewood. I remember Mrs. Koch as a kind, warm, gentle, soft spoken women. But also a firm disciplinarian to not only her children but also us as her “adopted” children. When we finally were big enough to make it to the raft, or trying to use the canoe and finally getting it balanced only to have Mr. Koch tip us over. One memory I will never forget was when little Del and I were fishing in a boat and Del went to cast and didnt look behind him, firmly embedding a 3″ long dare devil lure in my chest. My parents and Mr. and Mrs. Koch playing horse shoes under spotlight and all the shenanigans we had will always be in my heart. Rest in peace Mrs. Koch and enjoy a cocktail with Mr. Koch and my Dad.
