Patrick J.
Dwyer
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Patrick J Dwyer, who left this world peacefully on Friday, June 27, 2025, surrounded by the family who loved him beyond measure.
Pat was, simply put, the best person in the world. He lived a life defined by love, generosity, and selflessness. He had a heart bigger than most. He always put everyone before himself—never hesitating to lend a hand, offer a ride, share a meal, or give the shirt off his back if someone needed it more.
He had a passion for the little joys in life. Whether he was out on the water with a fishing pole in hand, digging through treasures at a rummage or estate sale, trying his luck at the casino, or marking his bingo card with a smile and a laugh, he brought light and fun wherever he went. He believed in making memories, not just collecting things, and somehow always found a way to make everyone around him feel like family, including all of his granddogs and grandcats.
He is survived by his loving wife, Darlene Dwyer, his daughter and son in law, Kim and Jason Neubecker, his grandchildren whom he adored, Donald (Ray) Garcia-Dwyer, Emily Maciejewski, Jennifer (Coel) Neubecker, Vanessa (Max) Syrstad and Kaitlyn (Kyle) Neubecker and countless others who were lucky enough to call him a friend. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, James and Dorothy Dwyer, his siblings, Jim Dwyer, Jerry Dwyer, Jack Dwyer and Judy Kolz, and his son, Patrick J Dwyer Jr. Though our hearts are broken, we find peace in knowing he left this world wrapped in the love he gave so freely.
A celebration of Pat’s life will be held on Thursday July 10, 2025 at 11:00 am at Forest Hill Memorial Park, 3301 E. Forest Hill Ave. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor his memory by doing something kind for someone else—just as he always would have.
Forever in our hearts. Forever our hero.
