Ronald Anthony
Rakowski

Rakowski , Ronald Anthony
Ron was born on June 9, 1936 and passed to be with the Lord on February 4, 2017. He was the loving and caring husband of Anita Rakowski (nee Barney) who he met in the Air Force while they were stationed in California. They were married for over 58 wonderful years. Dad/Pop to Craig (Georgia), Mark (Darlene), Scott (Lisa) and Todd (Heidi). Grandpa/Grandpop to Allison (Mike), Tyler (Gretchen), Sydney, Julianna, Kendall, Brody and Evan. Great-Grandpa to Reid. All of whom he loved very much. Beloved son of the late Bernard and the late Anna Rakowski, and special nephew to the late Casimir “Casey” Rakowski. Brother to Rose (the late Allan) Wilmot and uncle to Gary and Debbie. Also survived by sister-in-law Linda Barney, numerous brothers-in-law, and many other relatives. Ron was a lifelong friend of Roger (the late Nancy) Ritzow and was known as Uncle Ronnie to their sons and daughters.

Ron was a longtime employee of Allen-Bradley and was very proud of his work as a Plastics Technology and Production Supervisor. He loved to spend time camping and boating. He also liked traveling with Anita visiting a majority of the states and national parks over the years. But he mostly enjoyed relaxing with his wife and family, talking, drinking coffee, reading the paper, playing games and thinking about what he wanted to do next. He will truly be missed.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Monday, February 27th from 5 – 7:30 PM at the funeral home with a Celebration of Life at 7:30 PM. A private interment will be held at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery the following morning.

In lieu of flowers donations to Care-Age of Brookfield Rehabilitation and Heath Care Facility in Ronald’s name would be appreciated. These funds will be used to assist patients and residents with personal needs that cannot be met by their families or loved ones.
