Robert “Bob” Morency

September 11, 1936 – March 20, 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Robert “Bob” Morency on March 20, 2026, at the age of 89. Robert lived a life defined by devotion, service, and a deep love for his family.

Robert met the love of his life, Joanne, and remained a devoted husband to her for 67 years. A dedicated father to his five children and a beloved grandfather and great-grandfather, Robert always put his family first, working tirelessly to provide them with a better life.

His commitment to others extended beyond his home. Robert proudly served his country in the United States Naval Reserves and protected his community as a Captain in the Wauwatosa Police Reserves.

A true automotive enthusiast, Robert possessed a keen eye for detail and a deep appreciation for the beauty of a well-maintained car. He found great joy in the community of local car shows, where his prized vehicles were often the centerpiece of conversation among friends and strangers alike. He also found peace on the water; where he could often be found fishing the shores of Bass’ Bay.

Robert was predeceased by his parents, Leo and Celia Morency, and his siblings, Lucille (Leonard) Paavola and Ronald (Mary Lou) Morency.

He is survived by his wife, Joanne (Nee Nagel); his sister, Patricia (Jack) Laux; and his five children: Brian (Denise) Morency, Patrick (Sue) Morency, Michael Morency (significant other Nancy Bauer Feest), Ann (Perry) Kanelos, and John (Kathryn) Morency. He also leaves behind a lasting legacy through his grandchildren—Dan (Kelly) Morency, Tim (Courtney) Morency, Joe Morency, Robbie Kanelos, Michelle Morency, MaryJo (Tyler) Jochman, and Lydia Morency—and his great-grandchildren: Hank, Ruby, and Milo.

Robert’s funeral will be held on Thursday April 9th at St. Martins of Tours. Visitation will begin at 9:30am, Mass begins at 10:00am and burial to follow.

St. Martins of Tours is located at 7963 S. 116th Street in Franklin, Wisconsin
