Robert E
O'Brien

O’Brien, Robert E. “Bob”
Found peace on Sept. 4, 2009 at the age of 90 years. Bob left this earthly World to meet his beloved wife of 56 years, Dolores “Dottie” nee Trudell on the first tee of St. Peters Country Club in Heaven. Dear father of Dennis Mary O’Brien, Timothy O’Brien and Tim’s companion, Donna Johnson. Grandfather of Kelley Ann Greg Strong and Kathleen O’Brien. Great-grandfather of Raquel Rose Strong. Brother of Grace Kailas. Brother-in-law of Shirley and Leo Krahn. Preceded in death by his parents Richard and Magdaline, his brothers Leroy, Jerome Kathryn and Daniel O’Brien, and his brother and sister-in-law Russell and Ardith Trudell, Jr. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and good friends. Grandpa cherished the loving attention bestowed on him by Kelley Ann, Katie and Raquel. Bob retired from the Wisconsin Telephone Company in 1974 giving 38 years of dedicated service. There he worked his way up the corporate ladder from mail boy to sales manager. He was a member of Telcom Pioneers of America. Bob enjoyed golf hole-in-one club, bowling, gardening, woodworking and Dottie’s great cooking. He will be forever remembered for his sense of humor, wisdom, kindness, generosity and wood collection. Now he is surely experiencing his favorite phrase, “it doesn’t get any better that this.” The family would like to thank Dr. Raul Matteo, the nurses and staff of Golden Living at Heritage Square for their loving care they gave to him. They are angels! Memorials in honor of Mr. O’Brien by be made to the Irish Cultural and Heritage Center of Wisconsin, www.ICHC.net. A private family memorial service will be held at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
