Richard C.
Leranth

Leranth, Richard C. “Pierre” “Duckie” “Dickie”

On September 2, 2009, Pierre went to join his mother Julia and father Charles in rest. He was preceded by many honored and loved Beres, Leranth, and Schultz family members. After 71 years of living his life, he left his dedicated and loving wife, Rosemary nee Schultz. Richard was a proud father, who shared his love for family, tradition, competition, music, nature and laughter with his children James “Gunner” Linda, Charisse Robert Slanie, Cindy, John “JC”, and Edward Danielle. His true enjoyment in life was being a grandfather to Pamela, Aaron, Kaitlyn “his Honey Bunny”, and grandbaby-to-be. An entertaining brother-in-law to Dave and Ruth Buszka, Sharon Stahl, Tom and Sharon Schultz, Jack and Bonnie Schultz, and Ruth Schultz. Caring and long-time friend of Algi Mitka. Also survived by many aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Pierre began his life on Rawson Avenue in South Milwaukee and had many precious memories of spending time with aunts and uncles up north. He graduated from South Milwaukee High School proud to be a “Rocket”. He was the star of the basketball team and known as one of the “Gold Dust Twins”. His love of sport and competition was seen in his talents. Pierre played softball avidly for Team Asches and Tiny s Tap until he could no longer play; he then became an enthusiastic supporter for his sons and daughters teams. Pierre spent some time in the US Army and worked at Wrought Washer Co. as a shipping supervisor for 30 years.

Visitation will be held Thursday, September 10th from 3:30 pm – 6:00 pm at the FUNERAL HOME. Funeral Service to follow at 6:00 pm in the Funeral Home Chapel.

After a life-long struggle with diabetes, Pierre has found peace with his beloved godmother Auntie Goldie Beres. Special thanks to Dr. Wasuillah, Dr. Uey, St. Luke’s Hospital, Midwest Dialysis Center, South Pointe Health Care Center and the Cudahy and South Milwaukee Fire Departments and Paramedics for their kindness and compassion.
