Richard Ruth Sr.

Passed away on October 9, 2025

Beloved husband of Anne for 56 years. He will be especially missed by his devoted daughter, Dr. Julie (John) Owen and his very loving, precious grandsons, Jack and Josiah Owen who loved playing with Papa everyday. Also survived by son, Richard Jr. in Florida.

Richard Sr. was a longtime corporate board member of Milwaukee School of Engineering University and a former Alumnus of the Year. He had been VP of RTE Corp-Cooper Power Systems and founded Barre-Ruth Electronics with Waukesha RTE founder Loren Barre. Special thanks to Pastor Peter Walther and Pastor Steve Stern for their many visits and prayers.

Visitation will take place on Sunday, October 12, 2025 from 7 pm – 7:30 pm with the funeral service to follow at 7:30 pm at ST. JOHN’S LUTHERAN CHURCH (6802 W. Forest Home Ave. Milwaukee).

Private interment at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. John’s Lutheran cemetery appreciated.
