God has called him home. Mon. Sept. 22, 2014 at the age of 87yrs. He is preceded in death by his loving Wife, Elda E. (Goes). Beloved Father of Richard Mark (Susan) Bates. Dear Grandfather of Nicholas (Erin Brown) Bates and Courtney (Seth) Riege. Great-Grandfather of Carson and Lincoln. Also survived by a beloved sister-in-law, Mae Goes, Special friend Marylin Meyer and other relatives and friends.

Private services to be held. Richard was a proud WWII Navy Veteran, Lifetime member of Disabled American Veterans, American Legion Post Lake Mills. Dick was a retired Milwaukee Police Detective with 28 years of service. Memorials to Disabled American Veterans would be appreciated.
