Richard “Kava” R. Kowalczyk

Born to Eternal Life January 21st, 2022 at the age of 93.  Reunited with his beloved late wife Nancy Kowalczyk.

Preceded in death by mother Helen father John, brothers Jerome, James and sister Florence.  Loving father of Denise Sauer and Teresa Gatza.  Caring step-father of Susan (Mark) Leer, Cheryl (James) Mueller, Albert Tratnik and Tracy (Rich) Gutierrez.  Dear brother of Dorothy Ignatius and Alice Magnussen.  Proud God-father of Nathan Tratnik.  Further survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Richard was a proud Air Force Veteran and retired Vice Detective of the Milwaukee Police Department. He and Nancy enjoyed spending summers in Door County and he also loved hunting and fishing with friends and family.  Richard was the co-owner Brat and Beer and Scotty’s Bar and Pizza where he ran his famous football pools.

Visitation Friday, February 4th, 2022 at HERITAGE FUNERAL HOME (3801 South Howell Avenue, Milwaukee) from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm.  Funeral service to follow at 1:00 pm.  Entombment Arlington Park Cemetery.

    Had it not been for my neighbors/tenants, the Duffys, I would never have had the pleasure of knowing you. I thank them and you Dick, for the opportunity. Those were fun & entertaining days at Scotty’s. Good memories for sure.
