    To The Heder Family,
My deepest sympathy to all. I served under Dick at No. 5 District when I was a rookie in 1964. He was a big influence on my career. I had & have the utmost respect for him and appreciated him all the years. He will be missed by so many of us who had an opportunity to serve with & for him.
    May he rest in peace.

Uncle Dick was the fun uncle. Great wit, towering presence but never treating as a child. I .will always remember him fondly.
