It is with a broken heart that I, Kathy, his adoring fan, have to announce that Phillip M. Massey, beloved husband, proud PaPa and great-PaPa, devoted man of faith, ordained Deacon of Divine Covenant Church has passed away at home on May 9, 2024 at the age of 75.  He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, one child of six siblings, son of the late Nello and Margaret (nee: Kolodziejski).

Survived by his beloved wife Kathleen (nee: Strukel).  Loving father of Jason (Kerrie) Massey and step-sons, Mark (Catherine) Antczak, Ryan Antczak Sr. and Kaleb (Melissa) Antczak.  Further survived by many grandchildren: Alyssa (Dustin) Wilder, Joshua, Kaylah, Lily, Amaya, Ava, Grant, Murray, Ryan Jr., Sophie, Alexandra, Benjamin, Henry, and Luke.  Exhausted and proud great-PaPa of Brody, Aria, Bentley, Brayden, Nash, Knox, and Memphis.  Loving brother of Susan (partner Bo) Dziedzic, Neil (Colette) Massey, Kathleen Schultz, Michael Massey, and Barbara (Chuck) Wolf.

Phil will be missed by loving nieces and nephews Tony, Greg, Andy, Lisa, Angela, Jeff, Cami, Kelly and Cary, and others.  Will also be missed by dear, close friend, Dale Hickey, Augie Mayer, Darren and Jane Cantrall, Bob and Jane Knoll, Jabo and Kathleen, Rick and Judy Tweed, Pastor Baker and Pastor Stina, Divine Covenant Church and so many others.

Phil earned a Bachelor of Science in Education, a testament to his belief in the power of learning and personal growth.  This foundation served him well throughout his professional career, most notably in his long standing role as a District Sales Manager for Harley Davidson.

Soon after he met the Lord, and was forever smitten with the love of Jesus; he became a follower of the lover of his soul, never looking back.  He continued to look forward, walking each day with God as his guide (at the cost of losing some friends).  Phil wasn’t perfect but excited to change for the better and very confident he would meet Jesus someday!  He exemplified how a true man of God should carry himself.

In 1991, Phil married me; I’m pretty sure I was the love of his life, well that’s what I’m claiming!  Our union was a source of mutual support and joy, underpinned by our shared faith in the Lord.  Phil’s spirituality was a cornerstone of his life as we shared our common goal, which guided us through both challenges and triumphs together with grace and humility.

A Memorial Visitation will be held at Heritage Funeral Home (9200 S. 27th St., Oak Creek) on Saturday, June 8, 2024 from 1:30pm-2:30pm with a Service and Time of Sharing to begin at 2:30pm.

Phil will be remembered for his devoted dedication to his family, his profession, and his unwavering faith in Jesus Christ.  His legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew him and in the many lives he touched through his personal connections within each relationship.

Phil was a true one of a kind. His devotion ran deep and complete, it covered his Faith, his Family, his Friends,,
And his Colleagues. We have many great memories of travels and adventures with Phil and the love of his life,
Kathy. We learned of Phil’s health challenges early on but no amount of time prepares you for the loss of such a great friend.
Missed doesn’t cover the void that Phil’s passing has left in our hearts and we so value our last visit recently.
Phil was resolved that he knew where he was going, and we know he is there in the presence of the Lord.
Kathy we love you and know how complete your loss is as you know we grieve next to you.

I am so incredibly sorry for your loss Kathy. I can’t even begin to imagine the sadness your heart must feel. Pa Pa Phil was a wonderful man, always so calm and understanding. I appreciated our talks and how good he (and you!) he was to Kaylah & I. I’ve been thinking about you and keeping you in my prayers..

    Dear Kathy and family,
I want to send my sincere condolences on Phil’s passing.
I knew Phil as a fellow District Manager. Though I did not spend a lot of time with him, the time that I did he always had a smile and fun conversations. I enjoyed his company when the opportunity knocked.
And I must say “what an extensive family you and Phil have!”. That is so great!
God’s speed Phil, and the Lord’s Prayer to you all.

    Dear Kathy and Family,
I knew Phil from my days at Harley Davidson and think of him as a soft spoken man of integrity. Phil was one of the first people to call me after I left HD and I will always appreciate him for being that kind of coworker and friend. May the whole family be comforted by the “peace that passes all understanding”, knowing that in yet just a little while, we will be along to see Phil and our Lord soon. “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints.”Psalm 116:15
    God Bless.

I remember Phil from grade school and beyond, his participation in grade school sports Phil was always an energetic participant at Muskego. Afterward I touched base with Phil from time to time in Muskego. I always enjoyed talking with him. Being brother Neil’s friend I learned that Phil had gotten the disease that took his life and I am so sorry for his loss.
