Paul Martin Harvey

With heavy hearts and joyful memories, we announce the passing of Paul Martin Harvey, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather and friend, who peacefully left this world on June 9, 2025, at the age of 98. Born on November 6, 1926, in Racine, Wisconsin, Paul lived a life rich with stories and accomplishments that will be cherished by all who knew him.

A proud World War II veteran, Paul served his country in the Army from 1946 – 1947. After returning home, he was a union carpenter who retired at 65, pouring his skills into residential construction and building lasting friendships along the way. Paul was a dedicated member of the American Legion Harvey Funk Post 494, where he shared camaraderie with fellow veterans.

Paul was known for his love of woodworking, the smooth sounds of country and polka music, and the joy of traveling with his beloved wife, Rose. Sundays were reserved for dancing with Rose and celebrating life with family, especially his cherished grandchildren, who brought immense joy to his life. If there was something broken, you could bet that Paul would be the one to fix it!

Paul is survived by his devoted wife of over 75 years, Rose (nee Franke), his loving daughter, Karen (Charles) Craig, and sons, Gerald (Julie) and Jeffrey Harvey. Also survived by his grandchildren, Paul (Jenny), Brian (Tanya), Kevin (Jenny), Kristin (Jeremiah), Katie, Keith, Dustin (Lynn), John and Scott. Paul was the loving great-grandfather of Michael, PJ, Austin, Kyler, Kailyn, Madison, Emma, Lily, Emmett, Mabel, Oscar, Gracie and Brayden. Great-Great-Grandfather to Charlie, Rose, Easton and Anderson. Further survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.  They will continue to carry forward his spirit and wit, ensuring his legacy lives on through laughter and love.

Paul was preceded in death by: Son Paul Harvey, father Royal Harvey, mother Ida Harvey and brothers Royal and Lloyd.

Friends and family are invited to join us in celebrating Paul’s life with a memorial service at St. John’s Ev Lutheran Church (10302 S. 27th St. Oak Creek) on Friday, June 20, at 12:00 PM. Prior to the service, there will be a visitation starting at 11:00 AM where stories and memories can be shared.

As we gather to honor Paul’s extraordinary life, let us celebrate the man who could fix anything, loved with all his heart, and knew how to dance through life. Rest in peace, Paul—your legacy of love and laughter will never fade.

We have wonderful memories of seeing Paul at worship on Sundays at St. John’s and if he and Rose dancing at biergartens. Paul loved to sing hymns at church and always greeted us with a happy smile. Well done, good and faithful servant! Heaven is your home!
