Paul L. Bayer

Born October 12, 1949 and passed December 21, 2025. Survived by his loving wife Kathleen Bayer (Nee Braun) of 53 years. Preceded in death by his father and mother Thomas and Dorothy Bayer, brother Lawrance Bayer and his brother -in-law Gene Vanderpool and his sister Nancy Vanderpool (Nee Bayer). Survived by his three sons Jason and Dawn (Bernecker) Bayer, Joseph and Lynn (Krynicki) Bayer, James and Megan (Blake) Bayer. Dear Grandfather of Jadyn Bayer. Brother-in-law Craig and Judi Naumann and sister-in-law Judy Olson and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Paul enjoyed going up north in the Crivitz area with family and friends, hunting, fishing or just take time to relax and enjoy nature. Paul was also talented with his electric guitar and played with a group for many weddings, anniversaries, New Years eve parties and private events. His career was in Laboratory Medicine and worked at the old Trinity Hospital in South Milwaukee, St. Joseph Hospital in Milwaukee as Lab Manager and retired from Waukesha Memorial Hospital as Director of Pro Health Labs. After retirement he enjoyed coffee on Wednesday mornings with a group that called themselves the “Rat Pack” Gary, Ed, Kevin and Ben. He truly enjoyed the fun times and their friendship.

The family would like to Thank Angel’s Grace Hospice for the kind and caring way they cared for him in his final days and the support they gave the family.

A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, January 4, 2026 from 1:00pm – 2:00pm with a service to follow at 2:00pm at STAR OF BETHLEHEM LUTHERAN CHURCH 3700 S. Casper Drive New Berlin, WI 53151.
