Age 76 years, Paul passed away on November 13, 2014. Paul grew up on his family’s farm on Ryan Road in Franklin. He was the second oldest of eleven children. He attended Riverside School on Ryan Road and graduated from Greendale High School. After serving two years in the U.S. Army, he began his career as an insurance agent working for Rural Insurance Company. In 1973, he started his own independent insurance agency. This past year, he completed 54 years as an insurance agent. Most of those years, his office was located in Hales Corners, WI.
In 1972, he married Kay Krueger. They became charter members of House of Prayer Lutheran Church which was built on land that had been his family’s farm. They had two sons, Paul and Daniel. He encouraged his sons to participate in baseball, wrestling and football. He coached and umpired Little League games. He loved to watch their games. He also spent much time with his grandchildren and enjoyed watching them participate in sports.
Paul is survived by his wife Kay, sons Paul and Daniel, and grandchildren Dustin, Cody, Blake, Zowie and Brooke. He is further survived by four brothers, Russell (Pat)of Brocton, IL., Elmer (Ruth) of Whitewater, WI., Loren (Jane) of Van Wert, OH. and Kenneth Jr. (Arlene) of Brookfield, WI., and four sisters, June (Wesley) Freeman of Whitewater, WI., Eunice (William) Soderdahl of Mukwonago, WI., Karen (Frank) Bauza of New Berlin, WI., Judith (David) Coburn of Beloit, WI., Janelle (David) Roe of Whitewater, WI., and 26 nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father and mother Elmer and Elsie Keske, his sister Edith, a niece Cheryl Smith and a nephew Carl Keske.
Visitation Tuesday from 9:30 AM until 11:30 AM at HOUSE OF PRAYER LUTHERAN CHURCH, 3900 W. Ryan Rd., Franklin, followed by the Funeral Service at 11:30 AM. Interment Arlington Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Diabetes Association or House of Prayer Lutheran Church appreciated.
