Pamela Sue Kahle (Gates – Hafemann) entered into eternal rest on December 23rd, 2023 at the age of 68 after a 3 ½ year battle with ovarian cancer.

Born to William & Geneva Hafemann on June 28th 1955, Pam grew up with her parents and younger brother Michael Hafemann in Milwaukee, Wi.

Pam’s greatest joy was her family and friends. She was known for her infectious laugh, beautiful smile, and endless love and compassion for others. She was a devoted Catholic who leaned on her faith during the best and worst of times in life. Pam could usually be found cheering on one of her grandchildren at a soccer / baseball / basketball game, gardening, shopping for a deal, and never met a sweet or chocolate she did not like! After retirement, she dedicated time to caring for her parents and family.

Wife to Richard Kahle since 2015, she and Richard enjoyed 8 years together traveling and exploring Door County, Texas, Florida as well as other adventures.

Beloved mother to Amy Zembruski (Gates) and Mother-in-Law to Thomas Zembruski Jr. Adoring Grandmother to Marek & Joslyn Zembruski.

Pam is preceded in death by her mother Geneva Hafemann and Steve Draws partner of 10 years.

Lovingly survived by Bill & Wendy Hafemann (niece & nephew), Max Kahle & Braeden Steffen (Richard’s Son & grandson), Amy, Joe, Jacob and Steven Szcyubialka (Steve’s Daughter and family, Godmother to Jacob) James Gates, Barb Schrubey and countless other beloved friends and family whose lives were better by knowing Pam.

A special thank you to Dr Manish Pant and team at Aurora St Luke’s Cancer Center for their support and dedication to Pam’s health, and to the Aurora Hospice team as Pam entered her final weeks.

Visitation at St Veronica’s 353 E. Norwich St. Milwaukee will be held on Wednesday January 3rd, 2024 from 10am to noon, Catholic Mass & Funeral will follow. Pam will be laid to rest at Mt Olivet Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, Pam asked for donations to be sent in her honor to the Aurora Cancer Clinic to offset the cost of acupuncture for other cancer patients.

Pam went through her cancer journey with grace and humility. Her optimism was contagious as we would often forget the struggle she was going through.
She was a well grounded woman who was a privilege to know and a wonderful addition to our family.
Our hearts ache for her passing.
