James Lloyd Brown

recently of Fredonia, Wisconsin, died in Milwaukee on December 27, 2023. He was born in Youngstown, Ohio on July 23, 1932. He is survived by his daughters, Karen Lynne Schumacher and Laura Susan Brown and 11 wonderful grandchildren and 3 wonderful great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 66 years, Virginia Ruth Lathrope Brown, his son, Warren Nathan Brown, and his grandchild, Maria Schumacher.
During his lifetime, Jim was a member of a Chicago street gang, a college graduate, a Methodist seminarian and minister, a US Navy officer and pilot, a computer systems analyst and programmer, a management consultant, a director and developer of information technology for large corporations, a hardware store owner, and a columnist for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel newspaper.
He lived the last 65 plus years of his life devoid of religion and was happy to go to a hole in the ground after he died. His ashes will be buried at Greenwood Cemetery in Reedsburg, WI.
