A BEAUTIFUL LADY’S LIFE STORY

Nancy Verdich was born August 16, 1943 to “Freddy” and Martha Verdich in Minneapolis, MN.  She was the second child born to them but the first daughter and she was adored.  Her older brother later teased her and said “when you came along with your pig-tails and bonnets, I was no longer the focus of Mom and Dad’s attention”.

She grew up and met the first love of her life, Jimmie D. Evans in Minneapolis. They married there in 1960 and then moved to Milwaukee.  They had two children, Jimmie Ray in 1963 and Darla Jill in 1967.  They lived and exciting life until her husband grew ill and passed away in 1989.

She then met the final love of her life, Alan Krogness, in 1992 at country dance lessons.  He asked her if she’d like to learn the Texas 2-step with him, and after careful consideration, she agreed.  That was the beginning of a deeply affectionate romance that grew into a life-long unwavering bond.  She married Alan on February 10, 1995, and they journeyed through life together side-by-side, experiencing more true joy than anyone could ever imagine.  They created a home sanctuary they cherished, and Nancy’s love of gardening and nature blossomed with each passing year.

Nancy left this world on February 18, 2024 after experiencing some serious heart complications.  Her warm smile and the memories we have of her loving care will live forever in our hearts.

Private family services are being held.

Nancy was a dear and beautiful lady. She was the maid of honor in my wedding and Godmother to my son Danny. Her children Jimmie and Darla were her pride and joy along with her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed.
