    Saint Mary’s Catholic Church. Visitation will be held at Old Saint
    Mary’s Catholic Church 844 N. Broadway,  Milwaukee, WI 53202 from 1:30 to 3:30 pm, followed by a Celebration of Life Mass at 3:30 pm.
  • Funeral flowers can be sent to Heritage
    Funeral Home (1901 N. Farwell Ave. Milwaukee, WI 53202) by January
    3rd. The family is using Belle Fiori florist.

Michael Edgar Adam Mooney

1979  –  2023

 

Michael Edgar Adam Mooney, also known as Mickey, passed away on December 8th, 2023, at the age of 44 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He was born on November 28, 1979, in Johnson City, Tennessee. Michael was kind, giving, smart and gregarious. He was a good man who wore his heart on his sleeve.

Michael is survived by his father, Edgar Trip Mooney III, his mother, Mary Lou Kretowicz Mooney, his sister and brother-in-law, Kellie & David Urban, his sister and brother-in-law Rebecca & Jason Knuffman, nieces Hana, Heidi, Caroline, and Catherine Knuffman, his grandmother, Phyllis Mooney Fitzgerald and numerous beloved aunts, uncles and cousins.

Michael was preceded in death by his grandfathers Adam Augustus Kretowicz and Edgar Brown Mooney as well as his grandmother Florence Sarah Kretowicz. He had a soft spot for his beloved dogs, Hershey and Grover treating them like the valuable family members they were.

Michael grew up in Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin. He attended St. Monica’s Primary School, later graduating from Whitefish Bay High School where he was the Captain of his high school football team and was also on the swim team. He was a proud 2002 graduate of Holy Cross College in Worcester, Massachusetts where he was President of his class. Michael had a big heart and he loved helping people, especially those in need. He volunteered at Interchange Food Pantry and Kinship Community Food Center.

In remembrance of Michael’s life, the family asks that donations be made to Kinship Community Food Center.

Mickey will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched. May his soul rest in peace.
